Defaqto

Brand refresh to catalyse business transformation

In 2022, Defaqto had developed a new visual identity & brand messaging, but recognised this alone wasn't going to transform their business…

We worked with the senior leadership and marketing teams to develop a strategy to take advantage of this moment in time

  • making it relevant to their audiences

  • making the business more visible, distinctive, relevant and memorable

  • giving the business a higher profile and a louder voice to support growth

How we did it

Brand strategy to enable the whole business to speak with one voice - workshops, strategy development, multi-agency coordination and oversight ahead of roll-out

Content planning and creation to raise the bar on creative and speak consistently - via a playbook, support and training enabling the creation and distribution of content that’s audience-led, not brand-driven

Social media management to test and optimise for reach and engagement, upskilling and enabling internal influencers

Fractional talent adding capacity and capability from our creative studio, including a social media strategist and event videographer to augment and upskill internal teams, eventually handing over

Campaign development to stand out, and make a clear and motivating promise to the customer

Transforming event CX working with the SLT to re-programme and modernise the content for a long-established annual client conference, with a refreshed agenda and high-profile headline speakers

The results…

A successful brand relaunch.

A celebrated conference.

Smashed targets for content and social with year on year growth:

23% growth in followers

287% rise in engagement

367% rise in visits & impressions

But our biggest success?

It came with the handover… the team felt confident enough to take the reins on their social channels, implementing learnings from their time spent with VOLUME.

“At a key strategic time for our business, Volume helped us to shape our brand relaunch plans & created a new approach for our social activity, to raise awareness & deepen engagement, which we’re now implementing. They’ve been great to work with.”

Lindsey Baldwin, Head of Marketing, Defaqto

But what did we really do? How did we really help?

What did the Defaqto team really get from working with us?

  • Added value through our experience (you don’t need a huge team of agency heads at every meeting)

  • No constant upsell (transparent consultancy business model means we don’t have to)

  • The right people to solve specific problems, not whoever’s available on our team at that moment

  • Continuous updates on trends, insights and opportunities for commercial growth - because of the diversity of our network, and the range of our strategy and creative projects
